Delete account

You decide. 30-day grace, then zero trace.

VODster respects your right to delete your account and all data. You delete the account yourself — no support tickets, no exit surveys, no "are you sure" emails.

How to delete

Option A — in the app (recommended)

  1. Open the VODster mobile app
  2. Menu (icon top-left) → Profile
  3. Account settingsDelete account
  4. Confirm — you'll be signed out immediately

Option B — by email

From the email address registered on your account, send a message to support@vodster.app with the subject "Delete account". We confirm within 48 hours; deletion is processed right after we verify your identity.

What happens after deletion

30-day grace period

For 30 days after you delete, the account is marked for deletion but data still exists physically. During that window you can recover by signing in with the same email — we cancel the deletion. This is a safety net for impulsive decisions.

After 30 days — zero trace

We permanently delete:

  • Your profile (email, password, settings, Google/Apple identifiers if you used SSO)
  • Chat history with the assistant
  • Your lists ("To watch", "Recommend", etc.)
  • Your ratings and preferences (taste profile, private Top 100)
  • Embedding vectors used for personalization
  • Active and past matchmaker sessions (Pair Mode)
  • Notifications, push tokens, and sign-in history

After 30 days there is no way to recover the data — we don't keep it on backups longer than 30 days from full deletion.

What we may keep longer

Only what law requires: anonymized technical logs (no link to your account) up to 90 days, plus records mandated by Polish tax law if you ever made a payment to us. VODster is currently free, so 99% of accounts retain only the first category.
