About VODster
It all started with a cold pizza and a film night that never happened.
It was a Friday evening. A scene you know all too well: an evening off, snacks on the table, remote in hand and high hopes. Instead of unwinding we spent 45 minutes hopping nervously between five apps, reading blurbs, checking ratings and arguing in circles: "Something light?", "No, I'd rather a dark thriller", "I saw that three years ago". Before anyone agreed on anything, the popcorn was gone, the food was cold and the mood had evaporated. Instead of a good story on the screen we ended up frustrated, scrolling our phones.
That was when we realised the technology that was supposed to give us freedom of choice had turned into an exhausting paralysis.
Streaming today does not suffer from a lack of great content. It suffers from a lack of intuition. Algorithms push whatever is trending right now and ignore how you actually feel after a long day.
We are a team of people who love cinema, good design and modern technology. We decided to build the tool we were desperate for ourselves: VODster.
Instead of making you dig through the endless libraries of Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ or Prime Video, we brought them together into one coherent place. More importantly, we changed the rules: VODster does not just ask which genre you like. It asks what mood you are in.
Switch off completely
Looking for something that lets you stop thinking after a hard day?
A dense drama
Need a story that pulls you in and stays with you for days?
Two tastes, one couch
Or something balanced that reconciles two very different tastes for one evening?
VODster instantly matches your preferences with your mood right now and points to the one title worth pressing play on tonight. And once you know what you fancy, it shows you where to watch it across your subscriptions. No friction, no fights over the remote, no evening lost to scrolling.
We believe screen time should start with delight, not with a tiring search.
Make yourself comfortable. Your perfect film night is already waiting.
